The website Preply conducted a study to create a ranking of the most and least appreciated tourist attractions by visitors when they visit France. While two locations in Lyon are among the least appreciated attractions (the Museum of Confluences and the Cathedral of Saint-Jean-Baptiste), it's mostly positive for the city with 5 sites highly praised by tourists: Fourvière hill (10th), Old Lyon (13th), the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière (18th), the Park of the Tête d'Or (23rd), and the Miniature and Cinema Museum (28th).

96% of visitors love Fourvière and Vieux-Lyon
A real plebiscite for the iconic places of Lyon that charm the crowds with their authenticity, historical charm, and unique architecture. At the top of the ranking, we find the Place Stanislas in Nancy, closely followed by the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Amiens and the Jardin des Plantes in Nantes. Next are the coastal path in Antibes and the Parc du Thabor in Rennes.

On the flip side, the most disliked tourist attraction by visitors to France is the Matisse Museum in Nice. Next on the list are the Pont d'Avignon, Rue Sainte-Catherine, the Cité du Vin in Bordeaux, and the Horloge Square in Avignon, as always...
*To conduct this analysis, over 115 tourist attractions in the 100 most populous cities in France with at least 1500 reviews on the tourist review site TripAdvisor were selected.
