For the first time, downtown Lyon will be rocking a roller disco vibe! On Thursday, December 18th, from 5 PM to 8 PM, Place des Jacobins will don its best seventies look to welcome enthusiasts, pros, nervous skaters, and the kings of the controlled slide. A dancefloor set up in one of the most iconic squares of the Presqu'île, it's not just something you imagine... it’s something you experience. With a shimmering disco ball and a DJ set designed to keep you spinning until you lose track of time, the evening promises a sweet scent of nostalgia — skating in style is truly an art.

This temporary rink celebrates the release of PÉPITES, the new book from My Presqu'île. The association, which highlights the merchants, artisans, and iconic spots in downtown, unveils an edition crafted like an inspired stroll through shops, alleys, and hidden gems. A guide that makes you want to rediscover the Presqu'île like never before.

it was the first time, the roller dancefloor as a bonus.

A free and super friendly evening

Roller skating, music, celebration… and hot wine: it's going to be a cozy evening! Completely free of charge, the event focuses on friendliness, with steaming drinks and tasty treats to nibble on between skating.acute;s. It's perfect for warming up even those who prefer to watch rather than skate—no judgment, not everyone was born with wheels on their feet.

The magic doesn’t stop there: the city center comes alive right up to the festivities! Starting Saturday, two mascots will be strolling between Victor Hugo, Auguste Comte, and Charité. And on December 20th, Stitch and Olaf are back to hand out Lindt chocolates (the best news of the winter) on the slopes of Croix-Rousse. Lyon is clearly gearing up for its final sprint as the year wraps up... and we absolutely love it.
