Lyon is about to get a little more colorful! Starting from Friday, June 7th, 4 rainbow pedestrian crossings will be unveiled in Lyon's Guillotière neighborhood, at the corner of Pasteur and Bonald streets. In addition to adding a touch of color to the urban landscape, these pedestrian crossings will symbolize a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion. They celebrate each individual in all their splendor, reminding everyone that Lyon is a city where everyone should feel welcome. Color under our feet The idea of these colorful pedestrian crossings is not new. They are multiplying in major cities around the world as a sign of support for the LGBTQ+ community. Unfortunately, these initiatives are sometimes targeted by vandalism (which may not escape the Lyonnais pedestrian crossings...). However, Lyon, known for its progressive spirit, had not yet adopted this trend. This will soon be a reality thanks to the 7th district City Hall and Livestation DIY, an LGBTQ+ friendly bar located nearby. At the corner, intersection concerned.

The inauguration of these rainbow pedestrian crossings will be the prelude to the festive and engaging Pride March weekend.
