A free program for all the senses
10 years, let’s celebrate! And the Musée de Confluences absolutely gets it… Located in the heart of the eponymous Lyon district, this building that resembles a futuristic spaceship has carved out a prime spot in Lyon’s cultural scene. To properly blow out its 10 candles, the museum is planning a big weekend that’s COMPLETELY FREE for festivities and discoveries on December 21 and 22! Right from the entrance hall, a school of silvery fish, an aerosculpture created by Jean-Pierre David with birthday balloons, will float in the air, symbolizing a decade of discoveries and sharing.

On the entertainment side, the program promises a delightful treat... You'll be able to enjoy a aerial dance show with the Volt Experience company from 11 am to 3 pm, along with numerous musical performances, including a orchestra and an organ, creating an atmosphere that’s as magical as it is cultural. For those feeling playful, there will be games, quizzes, and challenges sprinkled throughout the museum, fun for both little ones and big kids alike!
Free access to all exhibitions
This last pre-Christmas weekend will also be a chance to (re)discover the collections that make the museum famous: the permanent exhibitions, exploring anthropology, natural sciences, and civilizations; the temporary exhibitions like "The Time of a Dream", "In the Forest with Vincent Munier", "Epidemics", and "Caring for the Living"; and finally, the sound installation "Utopian Bestiary".
