It's now a well-established tradition in Lyon: to celebrate the New Year's festivities, the TCL network sets up an exceptional service. On the night of December 31st to January 1st, lines A, B, C, and D will run all night long, providing a reliable alternative to cars and ride-hailing services that are often overcrowded.
Increased frequencies to avoid the crowd
Trains will run regularly throughout the night, with frequent service on the most popular lines. Specifically, line B and line D will have very close intervals, around five minutes, while lines A and C will offer a slightly more spaced frequency but will continue to run. Perfect for getting home without frantically checking the clock after that last drink.
The service also extends to the funiculars and the night bus lines, Pleine Lune. The funicular F2 will operate until
à 5h du matin et le F1 bénéficiera d’un service nocturne adapté malgré de courtes pauses techniques. Les bus Pleine Lune, eux, tourneront toutes les 35 minutes entre 0h45 et 5h, assurant les liaisons clés de l’agglomération lyonnaise.
Sécurité renforcée et parkings relais ouverts
TCL mise sur une mobilité festive, mais encadrée, avec des équipes de sécurité mobilisées toute la nuit. Plusieurs parcs relais resteront ouverts en continu, notamment à Vaulx-en-Velin La Soie, Vaise ou encore Saint-Genis-Laval. Une manière d’encourager les automobilistes à laisser leur voiture et à finir l’année sur de bons rails.
