Since April 4th, the Hedgehog Park has been fully open and it’s already becoming a must-visit spot! Located in Villeurbanne, just a stone's throw from La Rayonne in the urban project of L'Autre Soie, this vast 14,800 m² space offers a refreshing escape right in the heart of the city. Following a partial opening in the summer of 2025, the site finally reveals its full potential... and it’s clear that the wait was worth it.
At Hedgehog Park, everything is in place for a delightful day outdoors without leaving the Lyon metropolis. Children's playground, picnic tables, orchard of fruit trees, and even a community garden: the park checks all the boxes for a perfect day out.friendly and family-oriented places. An ideal playground for local schools, but also for parents looking for a spot where their kids can let off some steam while they finally catch their breath.

A refuge for biodiversity in the heart of the city
Beyond its relaxing vibes, Parc aux Hérissons truly embraces an ecological mission. Designed in collaboration with the Mille et un Hérissons association, the site features extensive areas left in their natural state, intentionally closed to the public. The goal? To preserve local wildlife and flora, providing a genuine refuge for species. With a bit of luck (and a lot of patience), you might even spot... hedgehogs, the real stars of the place!
Open daily from 8 AM to 10 PM, the park is becoming a must-visit spot for the locals.The streets Henri-Legay and Alfred-de-Musset will also host activities and awareness campaigns focused on the environment. It's a wonderful way to transform this simple green space into a vibrant place committed to life.
