No moving from Place Bellecour this year : Lyon's Christmas market will be settling into its winter home at Perrache. And the dates have just been announced : from Friday, November 20 to Thursday, December 24, 2026, around a hundred chalets will pop up on Place Carnot for a month of delicious treats, festive decorations and gift ideas. Perfect for soaking up that holiday spirit before New Year's Eve, over a couple of hot chocolates.
A spotlight on Lyon's local creators
This edition will also celebrate local talent. A chalet dedicated to the "Made in Lyon and surroundings" label will feature Dimanche and its leather accessories, the illustrations of Marina Vandel, candles from Onze Octobre, textiles by Salomé Ma Muse, ceramics by To Mo and fancy laces from Pop Lacets. The perfect opportunity to slip some local creations under the tree.

What are the opening hours for Lyon's Christmas Market?
The market will be free to access throughout the entire event. The announced hours, similar to last year's, should allow you to enjoy it both during the day and in the evening: Monday to Thursday from 11am t
until 8pm; Friday from 11am to 10pm, Saturday from 10:30am to 10pm and Sunday from 10:30am to 8pm.However, be aware during the Festival of Lights, scheduled for December 5-8 : the chalets will close earlier, around 6pm. It's best to plan your shopping trip before the Christmas lights go out.
