For over 150 years, the Vogue des Marrons has brought excitement to the Croix-Rousse neighborhood at the start of each autumn in Lyon. This year, the festivities kick off on Saturday, October 4th, and continue until November 11th between the Place and Boulevard de la Croix-Rousse. Whether you're a fan of , the haunted house, or thrilling rides, the Vogue des Marrons has everything to make your heart race. As always, the little ones will have their fun too with must-try attractions like the duck fishing, the knockdown cans, and of course, cotton candy and candy apples for those little cravings.
.On the tasty side, the festival brings you the first roasted chestnuts of the year served with traditional white wine. If you have a sweet tooth, you can also enjoy crepes, waffles, and so much more. In short, the festival promises to be as delicious as it is festive, much to the delight of your family dentist...
Hot chestnuts, hot!
To ensure everyone gets to enjoy this unique atmosphere, the Vogue adjusts its hours based on different periods. Outside of school holidays, the Vogue welcomes you on Mondays and Tuesdays from 4 PM to 9 PM; on Wednesdays, Sundays, and public holidays from 10 AM to 9 PM; Fridays from 4 PM to 11 PM, and Saturdays and the eve of holidays from 10 AM to 11 PM (closed on Thursdays). During the Toussaint holidays (from October 18 to November 2 inclusive), it will be open every day from 10 AM to 9 PM, except on Fridays, Saturdays, and the eve of holidays when the festivities will extend.
And just like every year, we'll also have the eternal debate between the excited dreamers reveling in the festivities and the residents exasperated by the disturbances: so, are you for or against the Vogue des Marrons?
