Renaissance Festival @ Vieux-Lyon

For two days, Old Lyon transforms its everyday life into a delightful scene from the 16th century. On May 30 and 31, the Renaissance Festival makes its grand return with a simple promise: to immerse visitors in a true historical fresco under the open sky. This year, the event celebrates a key moment: the 425th anniversary of the Treaty of Lyon. Signed during the reign of Henry IV, this treaty marks the integration of new territories into the Kingdom of France. In the cobbled streets of Old Lyon, encampments of...;Theater, musicians, storytellers, and duelists bring the Renaissance back to life. The highlight of the event? A grand opening parade that will start from the Place Bellecour and make its way to the Place Saint-Jean.

Saturday, May 30, and Sunday, May 31, 2026, in Vieux-Lyon
