The terrace of the Fort Saint-Laurent Hotel reveals a unique winter decor with transparent bubbles. Perched high above Croix-Rousse, this terrace already turns heads with its stunning XXL view of the Rhône and the entire city, now transformed into a thrilling winter wonderland—without the shivers, of course! The establishment has set up three huge transparent bubbles to extend cozy aperitifs and evenings, even in the midst of winter. This spot, already considered one of the most beautiful in Lyon, has become a true panoramic refuge.

Comfort, panorama, and a cozy atmosphere

Two of the three bubbles can accommodate up to 25 people seated, or even 40 standing if you choose to privatize the space. So you can bet that evenings with friends, afterworks, and small private events will be stylish and fun. The third bubble, more intimate, offers a snug space for around ten people, perfect for a timeless moment facing the Lyon rooftops. All of this in a warm and inviting atmosphere!

illuminated, protected, and always connected to the outside thanks to their total transparency.

Eco-designed and clever facilities

The bubbles work thanks to natural heating… or with a little extra help in case of unpredictable weather. Made from polycarbonate, these structures are designed to heat naturally. The sun's rays create a wonderful greenhouse effect, far away from the old plastic covers we used to dread. And on sunny days, no worries: the hotel can use light heaters, a privilege that public terrace spaces don’t have. As a result, you get controlled comfort and a gentler approach to the environment.

A fourth bubble will soon be installed

The last bubble will complete the elevated terrace starting in December. It will enhance the experience and create even more spots to enjoy the view. All installations will remain in place until the end of April 2026, giving everyone plenty of time to snuggle up in these winter bubbles with a view.
