To celebrate its 10th anniversary in style, the Lyon Street Food Festival is going all out. Even before the festivities kick off at the Grandes Locos, a super tasty treasure hunt will sweep across Lyon, featuring hidden golden tickets at several iconic pastry shops in the city.

A gigantic culinary event, a totally regressive operation that's deliciously addictive. From June 11 to 14, 2026, the Lyon Street Food Festival will blow out its tenth candle at the Grandes Locos, but the festivities kick off much earlier with a special operation organized on Saturday, May 16, across Lyon. The concept is simple: 10 golden tickets will be hidden in five partner pastry shops in Lyon. A cheeky nod to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, with a pistachio flan and pink praline twist.

Each shop will keep two fake tickets hidden to avoid scenes of panic worthy of a Black Friday in the pastry aisle. And just a heads up: given the level of gluttony among the people of Lyon, the treasures might disappear faster than a still-warm cookie.

This grand culinary hunt will mainly allow you to (re)discover some of the most beloved sweet spots in Lyon. Among the participants, you'll find Mosaique in the 2nd arrondissement, Siprès in the 7th, Mariller, the dream pastry chef, Dorner Frères in the 6th, not to mention Guillaume Flochon in the 9th arrondissement. It's a carefully curated list that would make even the most dedicated sugar skeptics drool!

Finding a golden ticket won't just grant you eternal glory in your WhatsApp group. Each ticket will allow you to take home two 4-day passes for the Lyon Street Food Festival, as well as a complimentary individual dessert from the store where the ticket was discovered.
