The tables of Monplaisir @ Lyon 8th
The Tablées de Monplaisir, organized by the Festival Committee of Monplair, are celebrating their 5th edition on May 13th and 14th at Place Ambroise Courtois in Lyon. This festive and culinary event has grown over the years, attracting over 10,000 visitors the previous year! With around fifteen food trucks and stands, the event offers a variety of culinary specialties from around the world, ranging from Indonesian street food to French, Syrian, Lebanese, American, Indian, Italian, and Japanese cuisine. Participants can sit at the large tables without any purchase obligation, and can even bring their own picnic. Saturday is animated by the band Mégaphone playing hits from Téléphone, while Sunday features a market of local creators with around forty local artisans and workshops for children under the gazebo!

The Petite Cantine du Vieux-Lyon is celebrating its first anniversary with a big party open to everyone, this Saturday from 4pm to 11pm. The event includes a carousel, a buffet, a concert, participatory cooking, a raffle, a flea market, and a carousel to entertain both adults and children. The Petites Cantines, a non-profit association, aim to create bonds and connections around food to fight against isolation, with pay-what-you-want meals to promote inclusion. This party aims to introduce the concept of the Petites Cantines to as many people as possible and to encourage exchanges and meetings in this friendly place.
