Get your tote bags ready and bring out those negotiation skills: Lyon is about to turn into a massive open-air garage sale! On Saturday, June 13, the famous flea market “Pleasure of Bargaining” will take over Jean-Jaurès and Maréchal de Saxe avenues for a new edition that promises to be one of the must-attend events of the month.

Created nearly thirty years ago, this event has become a true institution in the Lyon area. This year, nearly 400 exhibitors are expected along an impressive four-kilometer route connecting Jean-Macé, Saxe-Gambetta, and Place Guichard. From Avenue Berthelot to Rue Rabelais, the sidewalks will transform into a giant playground for flea market enthusiasts.

Thousands of treasures to discover throughout the day

The beauty of this flea market is that you never know what you'll find. Starting at 6 a.m....

Until 7 PM, the exhibitors will showcase their most beautiful finds. Antique furniture, second-hand clothing, appliances, toys, decorative objects, vintage accessories, quirky trinkets, or works of art: there will be something to satisfy both seasoned collectors and curious strollers.

As is often the case with this kind of event, the best finds are likely to go quickly. Regulars know it well: arriving early is often the best strategy to get hold of that hidden gem before anyone else.

A Lyonnaise institution that attracts thousands of visitors

Over the years, Plaisir de chiner has established itself as one of the most renowned flea markets in the Lyon metropolis. Its success is based on both the diversity of the exhibitors and the friendly atmosphere that prevails throughout the day. For those dreaming of being on the other side of the stall, registrations are still open. It’s a great opportunity to declutter your closets, give your items a second life, and maybe even walk away with a few euros in your pocket.
