Manitas is the first café-ceramics studio in Lyon, open since 2023. Here, you can paint whatever you like, whenever you like, thanks to free sessions where everyone can express themselves in their own way. The pieces range from €15 to €60, catering to all budgets and desires, plus there's a delightful menu (with drinks and sweet and savory snacks). Behind this project? Maud and Justine, two passionate friends who turned their dream into reality, creating a unique space in Lyon where ceramics are lived, shared, and enjoyed.

A place in constant motion
On Sundays, it's time for the legendary brunch x ceramics, highly sought after and often fully booked two months in advance. During the week, we can't resist the aperitif x ceramics specials, the Mini Manitas workshops for parent-child duos, or the custom group events (bachelor/bachelorette parties, team building, birthdays...).

And since Manitas never does things halfway, the place also hosts themed evenings and workshops (quiz nights, Halloween, Christmas...) that often sell out. A little novelty you won’t want to miss: the Ceramics Bar, just a few steps down, designed for picking up your piece a month after the workshop – the perfect amount of time for drying, glazing, and firing.

Before opening their café, Maud and Justine traveled around Lyon with their mobile workshops, and they're still doing it! You can find them in iconic places like Heat, at creative markets, or during festive gatherings, for always friendly moments of creation.
Manitas L’Atelier: the new spot for enthusiasts
Great news for the people of Lyon: Manitas is opening a second location, called Manitas L’Atelier, at 19 bis rue Sergent-Blandan (just a stone's throw from Place Sathonay). Here, it’s all about ceramics in a 360° atmosphere.

For the most passionate, there's even the option of a monthly subscription to create independently alongside fellow ceramics enthusiasts. Just like at the Café, L’Atelier will welcome groups and personalized events, not to mention the themed workshops that make Manitas a hit (Halloween, blind tests, Christmas…).

With the festive season approaching, the Christmas workshops are back, allowing everyone to create their own gifts in a super festive atmosphere.
