The Gerland district in the 7th arrondissement of Lyon is buzzing with excitement. For the past few weeks, a new luxurious 4-star hotel has opened just steps away from the Matmut Stadium. On the menu: 134 rooms, a beautiful cocktail bar, and most importantly, L'Atelier du Ruck, a fantastic bistronomic restaurant.

Every year, Lyon welcomes hundreds of thousands of tourists who come to discover the unique richness of this beloved city. With 134 bright rooms spread across 4 categories (classic, classic garden, premium, and junior suite ranging from 19 to 39 m²) and its 5 meeting rooms (from 40 m² to 173 m²), the hotel immerses us in a modern atmosphere where sharing and conviviality intertwine to energize the Gerland neighborhood. If the overall decoration of the place is both chic and understated, a few images from the rugby world punctuate the atmospheres in the rooms. The direct proximity to the Matmut Stadium, home of Lou Rugby, obviously contributed to choosing the name The Ruck Hotel. The term "ruck" (or "spontaneous mêlée") is also a term borrowed directly from rugby that refers to a phase of play where at least two players, an attacker and a defender, fight for possession of the ball in the tackle area.
