Every year in Lyon, the Wisteria Festival celebrates the blooming season of these beautiful trees. You'll find nearly 400 of them spread over a 200-hectare area in the Montchat district in the 3rd arrondissement of Lyon. Officially running from April 3 to 27, the Wisteria Festival is an amazing opportunity to discover this incredible natural spectacle that is still too unknown to the people of Lyon.

Because in spring, the wisteria puts on a stunning colorful show ranging from purple to blue and white in “«clusters»” that can grow over a meter long. It’s a truly poetic plant that takes us into a Japanese-inspired setting you wouldn’t expect to find right in the heart of Lyon.
