Forty years after marking rock history with their global hits, Simple Minds is preparing for a major comeback tour across Europe. The Scottish group, led since their beginnings by singer Jim Kerr, has just announced a new tour for 2027, with several dates planned in France and across Europe's major capitals.
And Lyon will receive special treatment since the band will kick off their French tour at the LDLC Arena on April 9, 2027. Another XXL date for the Décines venue, which continues to attract big international names and should once again draw plenty of rock fans.

It's hard to mention Simple Minds without immediately having a song stuck in your head. "Don't You (Forget About Me)", which became iconic thanks to the film The Breakfast Club, "Alive
e and Kicking » or even « Mandela Day » have established the band as one of the must-see acts on the British rock scene.In Lyon, Jim Kerr and his musicians should therefore offer a genuine journey through several decades of their career, mixing greatest hits and new tracks. Because this tour won't just be about dusting off past hits : Simple Minds is also preparing a new album, announced for the beginning of 2027.
Lyon, first stop of the French tour
The LDLC Arena will be the first French date of this new tour, on April 9, 2027, before Simple Minds continues its journey to Paris and several other major French cities. The band will perform notably at the Accor Arena in Paris on April 10, at the Galaxie in Amnéville on April 11, at the Zenith in Nantes on April 13, and at the Arkéa Arena in Bordeaux on April 14.
The band éScottish band won't obviously stop at French borders and will cross a good part of Europe in 2027. Portugal, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, United Kingdom, Ireland, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway and Sweden are also on the program of this tour that promises to be particularly ambitious.
Tickets coming very soon
However, Lyon fans won't have to wait until spring 2027 to get organized : ticket sales will open on Friday, September 11, 2026. In other words, you'd better have your calendar handy and quick booking reflexes if you want to sing « Don't You (Forget About Me) » in chorus with thousands of people.
