The sky is going to put on a show in Châtenoy-en-Bresse! From June 27 to 29, the Montgolfiades make their grand comeback in the Saint-Nicolas meadow, just a stone's throw from Chalon-sur-Saône. This event has become a beloved favorite for fans of gentle thrills, breathtaking photos, and a friendly atmosphere. For three days, a parade of balloons from France, Italy, and Belgium will celebrate the blue sky and make hearts flutter, with special appearances from Éric Decellières and Benoît Havret, former world champions who still steal the show.
Balloons will fill the sky
But it's not just a parade in the sky! On the ground, the festivities will be in full swing with a jam-packed program: parachute shows, concerts, giant wooden games, mini hot air balloons, and a whole bunch of activities designed for both kids and adults. It’s the kind of weekend where time flies by, between a hearty sandwich and a gaze of wonder towards the sky.

It’s the perfect chance to enjoy a moment suspended—literally—above the beautiful landscapes of the Côte chalonnaise. This event appeals to both aviation enthusiasts and photography lovers seeking a magical weekend just 1.5 hours from Lyon. The Montgolfiades is the perfect plan to soar high!
