On Sunday, June 7, the Lyon-based brand Supramatcha is hosting an event entirely dedicated to matcha in the vibrant Place Sathonay, located in the 1st arrondissement. It's a day designed as a blend of an urban festival, culinary discovery, and a chill moment right in the heart of the Pentes.

Between Japanese Tradition and Lyonnaise Touch
The idea is to immerse visitors in the complete world of Japanese tea, from its origins to the traditional preparation techniques. Introductory workshops will allow you to discover the matcha ritual, learn how to use the famous bamboo whisk, and understand why this tea, made from tencha, captivates lovers of vegetal flavors.

But the festival also aims to add a local twist with some much bolder creations. Among the announced signature drinks, a matcha with Lyonnaise praline foam is sure to pique the curiosity of many. Yes, Lyon has successfully blended Japan and pink praline in the same cup. And honestly, it took some guts to do that! Beyond the matcha, the event promises a fun, laid-back summer atmosphere. DJ sets, creator stands, games, activities, and even massages will complement this day designed as a bubble of relaxation right in the heart of the city.
