For nearly three decades, Fêtes Escales has become one of the major cultural events of the summer near Lyon. Free, accessible to everyone, and deeply rooted in its community, the festival promotes an open vision of music by mixing international artists, emerging talents, and local projects.
For this 28th edition, Louis-Dupic Park will once again transform into a musical playground where urban cultures will engage with sounds from around the world. It’s a recipe that has contributed to the event's success for many years.

Lujipeka Headlining and World Music
Saturday, July 11, will be one of the highlights of the festival with the return of Lujipeka. Three years after a performance was canceled due to weather conditions, the artist will finally reunite with the Vénissieux audience to close this pending chapter. Before him, the rising sensation of French pop-rap, Asfar Shamsi, will confirm his meteoric rise. The evening will kick off with Leonem, a Lyonnais rapper brought to light by the Plan B initiative from the Bizarre! venue, showcasing the festival's commitment to highlighting local talents.

Sunday, July 12, will feel like a musical getaway between West Africa and universal emotions. A key figure in the Malian scene, Rokia Traoré will deliver a concert that promises to be as intense as it is elegant. Another prestigious guest, Vieux Farka Touré, will bring his Saharan blues with rock influences to the Lyon audience. The day will kick off with Malaka, a duo of sisters whose enchanting harmonies are sure to create a particularly sweet atmosphere before the big evening events.

A national celebration filled with friendliness
After the traditional fireworks display on July 13th from the Laurent-Gérin stadium, the festivities will continue in full swing on July 14th. This last day will focus on a family-friendly atmosphere with The Ball of Pat Kalla, specially designed for a younger audience. Barkanan will bring its poetic touch before Kompa Doudou Chéri turns the park into a huge dance floor. Between concerts, a giant picnic, a dictation activity at Espace Pandora, and traditional wooden games, everyone, young and old, will find plenty to enjoy during this festive day.
