A Viking village populated by dragons
The big highlight of Yggdrasil 2026 is called Drakenfjord and is bound to become the favorite realm of fantasy lovers. This new village immerses visitors in a universe inspired by Nordic mythology, where Vikings and dragons live side by side amid particularly spectacular scenery.
A full-size Viking ship and around forty dragons will be scattered throughout the setting to bring this territory straight out of a fantasy novel to life. Enough to suddenly make you want to trade in your public transport pass for a Viking ship adventure! The festival also promises various activities and real-world quests to explore this universe in a whole new way.

Music Makes Its Grand Comeback
After four years without concerts, Yggdrasil is finally bringing music back to the heart of its festival with several bands from the folk, fantasy and imaginative worlds. The Naheulband, Talers, La Rioule and Avaland will be performing at this edition, with a big musical evening scheduled to close out the weekend starting at 5pm.
This return of the music scene completes a program already exceptionally generous with live performances. Between bird of prey demonstrations with Esprit Falconry, a fantastic equestrian show and the I-Magination magic show, visitors will be able to move from one universe to another without really having time to catch their breath.

Arthur Pestel, star guest at Yggdrasil
Dubbing fans will also have a great reason to make the trip with the presence of Arthur Pestel. The actor is notably known for being the French voice of Hookfang in the Dragons saga and Edward Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist. He will participate in meet-and-greets and signing sessions with the public.
Cosplay will also take center stage with the traditional grand parade and the contest organized on the main stage. Spectacular costumes, characters from films, series, manga, and video games : Yggdrasil should once again transform the Parilly Hippodrome into a huge open-air convention.
g>A festival where all imaginations meet
Yggdrasil isn't limited to medieval fantasy, however: the festival brings together a multitude of worlds along its aisles. The Middle Ages, steampunk, handcrafted creations, literature, games, shows and activities will allow everyone to find their own portal to imagination. More than 150 creators and artisans will also be present, while hundreds of activities will punctuate the two days. Even the Ogre's Marsh will host its famous foam ball, where young and old can let loose to popular music in an atmosphere as festive as it is wonderfully quirky.
