Immortal City will settle within the walls of La Sucrière starting December 13 to relive the tragic story of this iconic city.
Immerse Yourself in the Daily Life of the Pompeians
The exhibition begins in 79 AD, the fateful day of the famous eruption of Vesuvius that marked the destruction of the city of Pompeii. But for this very special visit, the bodies frozen in ashes come to life through the image of a family that will accompany us throughout our discovery.
Far from the image of ruins and petrified statues, this immersive exhibition allows us to experience the vibrant daily life of the Pompeians just before everything changed. From artisans to doctors, architects, farmers, and geometricians, we dive into the excitement of this city where the greatness of the Roman Empire was built.
Antique objects and 3D reconstructions of the streets of Pompeii
Presented by Tempora and Civita, the exhibition offers us a true dive into Antiquity with over 100 authentic objects on display, from archaeological excavations of the buried city, lent by the National Archaeological Museum of Naples, the Parco Archeologico di Pompei, and the Opera Laboratori Fiorentini. Miraculously preserved under the ashes for centuries, these ancient treasures trace and tell
