Attention to all fans of colorful bricks, the famous LEGO® exhibition is finally coming to Lyon starting next September. Designed by the artist Nathan Sawaya, The Art of the Brick features over a million bricks, transformed into a hundred works of art. An internationally successful exhibition that will take place in the heart of the Grand Hôtel-Dieu in Lyon in a 1,100 m² space.

T-Rex, Skulls, and Starry Night…

Former lawyer in New York, Nathan Sawaya once gave up his career to dedicate himself to his passion: LEGO®. Now an artist – in July 2011, he won the prize for the most creative and original artist at the Unique Art Awards in New York – he spends his time creating exhibitions showcasing colorful bricks worldwide. This year, the artist's works will be exhibited at the Grand Hôtel-Dieu. For this special edition, Nathan Sawaya showcases over 70 pieces straight from his imagination or inspired by great works of art, encouraging "both children and adults to reflect on the meaning of art with a smile on their faces". Alongside a six-meter tall tyrannosaurus and various life-sized musical instruments, visitors can discover his reinterpretation of great masterpieces such as Vincent Van Gogh's "Starry Night", Leonardo da Vinci's "Mona Lisa", and Munch's "The Scream".
Millions of visitors around the world are already flocking to the ultra-popular The Art of the Brick. This exhibition has already brought together more than 10 million visitors worldwide. Ranked as one of the top 10 must-see exhibitions by the American channel CNN, visitors can experience it in Toulouse, Atlanta, and Raleigh (United States). At the end of each visit, spectators can explore a shop offering LEGO® sets and video games on the same theme, as well as a LEGO pool!
