It's a big first that the paradise of virtual reality, DreamAway Lyon, is about to host! Starting June 27, 2025, this Lyon spot welcomes the incredible exhibition Napoleon, the Immersive Epic. Here, it's not about dusty old displays! For 27 minutes, with a VR headset on, you will have total freedom to move around in a vast space where time and history intertwine.

A unique immersive journey
The experience begins in Longwood House, in 1817, on the island of Saint Helena. Right in front of you, Napoleon in exile, sharing his last memories. Suddenly, everything comes to life around you! The military strategy in action allows you to witness a command staff on the eve of Austerlitz and feel the adrenaline of a cavalry charge, shiver in the frozen hell of the Berezina, witness the rise of the Vendôme column, and finally relive his last journey to Saint Helena…
Each scene has been recreated with stunning historical accuracy, thanks to the work of a committee of experts (including the Napoleon Foundation and renowned historians).

Before diving into this virtual epic, a fascinating exhibition sets the mood with authentic objects from the museum's collections. On the agenda: weapons and period uniforms, witness to the Napoleonic battles; paintings and personal items to connect you with the myth, and imperial souvenirs, capturing both grandeur and decline. It's all you need to fully immerse yourself in history before living it from within.
