It's a crazy time to open a new bar, isn't it? And yet... Despite the current context and the gloominess around, a super motivated team had the audacity to launch a new concept in Lyon, despite this damn Covid. An overflowing ambition and a daring attitude that speak volumes about the colorful characters behind Pignouf. Because yes, Pignouf is the funny name given to this new vintage bar in the 7th, where sandwiches and smashburgers come together with beers and cocktails in a lively musical atmosphere.

Before we start our tour of the property, let's lay the groundwork. Behind Pignouf, we find the unstoppable Geoffrey Clavel and the dream team from Commerce (the famous ruin bar in the 7th). So, it's no coincidence that we find the warm and relaxed atmosphere of the place. Resolutely vintage, Pignouf unveils raw walls, collected vintage furniture, a 70's guéridon, old lampshades, wooden farmhouse tables to immerse us in the atmosphere of a neighborhood bar from our parents' time.

Premium sandwiches, DJ sets by Maggy Smiss and take-out sales
In the open kitchen with New York style, the chefs are busy preparing sandwiches made with country bread and ultra-quali buns, as well as smash burgers (with steaks smashed on the griddle to grill to perfection) and bowls. So we are talking about superior quality sandwiches that are even more delicious with a pint or a Cockorico cocktail (the new range imagined by specialist Marc Bonneton). At Pignouf, we have a good time devouring our sandwich and homemade chips with our fingers, tapping our feet, and then moving on to a big & tasty pastry to end on a high note.

Because in addition to delicious food and great drinks, this little spot delights our ears with carefully curated playlists by the famous Maggy Smiss (a regular at Nuits Sonores and Ninkasi) who will be providing a DJ set during each service. It's like DJ sets replacing table settings... While we wait for Covid to disappear forever, Pignouf is now open for takeout to test their culinary delights (through click and collect on social media) and for delivery on Uber Eats…before we can enjoy the warm atmosphere of the place, which is bound to quickly become a go-to spot in the 7th arrondissement.
