The Editor

During an entire week and all over France, the Mojito Week* sets off to meet the historic cocktail from Havana. On the agenda: workshops on the mojito with a Havana Club Ambassador who will reveal all its secrets to learn how to make your own mojito at home (put away that crushed ice, it's the ice cubes we want!). From July 10 to 16, from Corsica to Normandy, passing through Paris, Marseille, Lyon, or Nice, the Mojito Week lands in partner bars all over the country with a mission: to share the history of Havana Club rum and teach the recipe of the cocktail, the real one. In total, several dozen of the best spots in the country take on a Cuban vibe, and in Paris, there are two appointments every day, at 6pm and at 9:30pm. To help navigate, we can rely on our .interactive map to follow the schedule in real time. See you there?

A story entrusted in legend

Cuban cocktail, the mojito is now the favorite cocktail of the French** ! Born in a bar in Havana, its success was confirmed in the 1920s-1930s and spread across continents. Havana Club, a globally known brand whose expertise of the Maestros del Ron Cubano is now recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage, played a key role in its introduction in France and around the world.

But beware, the authentic Cuban mojito has only one recipe ! In Cuba, the real mojito is made with ice cubes and not crushed ice. White powdered sugar is used instead of brown sugar. While each bartender has their trick, the classic mojito based on Havana Club 3 years remains the reference to discover during Mojito Week!
