Who would expect to find a hidden cocktail bar in the back room of a beauty salon? Yet that's the brilliant and unique concept of Secret which has been open since last May in the back of the beauty salon Les Six Bar & Beauté, literally just steps away from Place des Terreaux. To access it, here's the secret: look for the light spot "Le Secret" on the floor of Joseph Serlin street, if it's on, ring the bell and let yourself be guided to this girly and cozy address.
Next, you walk through the beauty salon to the mirrored shelf at the back that opens up like magic to reveal a beautiful space with a much more cozy atmosphere featuring a golden bathtub and a lovely bar in golden and sparkly black tones with a cozy smoking room.
Cozy atmosphere, DJ set, and hidden shelves
Early in the evening, from 7pm to 10:30pm, the place serves as an intimate and jazzy cocktail bar. But later on, this secret spot becomes more festive with a DJ set and a lively atmosphere. Throughout the evening, the bartenders offer reimagined classic recipes, signature cocktails, and creations, while the staff works hard to delight you with traditional tapas prepared by Amazing Lunch (burgers, truffle croque-monsieur, teriyaki chicken). For this September 2023 comeback, Le Secret has also created a brand new cocktail menu that pays tribute to the great classics like the Old Fashioned and James Bond's Martini.
But that's not all: at the back of the first speakeasy, a shelf slides away again to take us downstairs where another bar is hidden. Reserved for private events, this secret room can accommodate up to 45 guests for professional gatherings or special occasions (birthday, bachelor party, etc...)! Once again, the space has a smoking area to satisfy your addiction without having to resurface.
