It's called Contrast, located at 32 rue Palais Grillet (Lyon 2e), one of the liveliest streets in the Presqu'île, and it totally has everything to become your new HQ.
A stylish design that catches the eye
Contrast is first and foremost a chic and minimalist space, designed in sandy and stone tones with the help of an interior architect. Spread out over 130 m², the bar offers two distinct atmospheres. Downstairs, there's an ultra-modern bar island imported from Oslo, breaking away from traditional counter norms, featuring high seating and a DJ booth that promises to make the walls vibrate. Upstairs, a cozy mezzanine with benches and poufs provides a stunning view of the DJ, perfect for relaxed evenings with friends or a romantic night out.
On top of that, there’s a lovely little annual terrace with 20 seats (and even more with the pedestrianization of Palais Grillet street planned for the middle of 2025), making it one of the new must-visit spots to check out ASAP. At the helm of this concept are Michael, aka Mike, who spent 6 years managing Groom, and his partner Mehdi, who together create a warm and welcoming duo ensuring a fantastic atmosphere.

When it comes to tapas, expect delightful bites designed for sharing, all served in a friendly and generous spirit. At Contrast, there’s no fuss—just simple, effective, and above all, delicious offerings with a little touch of fun that’s sure to become the place's signature vibe.

With a mix of well-curated house music and live soul, the atmosphere invites you to reconnect: birthdays, afterworks, or cozy evenings with friends, everything is designed to encourage those special moments.
