The Festival Lumière confirms its status as a must-attend event for film lovers by offering a unique themed night. After a 2024 edition focused on horror, it’s Japanese animation that will take center stage in 2025. From October 11 to 19, Lyon will celebrate global cinema, and the Halle Tony Garnier will host a marathon night on October 18 that promises to attract all fans of Japanime.

Four classic masterpieces screened until dawn

From 8:30 PM until dawn, audiences will have the chance to rediscover essential gems of Japanese animated cinema. On the program: Princess Mononoke by Hayao Miyazaki, a timeless ecological epic, Your Name by Makoto Shinkai, a fantasy romance that has become a global phenomenon, Belladonna by Eiichi Yamamoto, a psych
