La Commune, the star food court of the Gerland neighborhood in Lyon, is setting up shop in the Loire. And not just anywhere: in the legendary Halles Mazerat, which have been left abandoned since last March. A tasty renaissance is on the horizon for this iconic place, which will become, starting January 2026, the new playground for foodies in Saint-Étienne.

The project is clear: good, local, living. Staying true to its culinary nursery roots, La Commune isn’t just setting up a few stalls. It’s here to create a scene. A scene where young chefs can test their concepts, refine their recipes, and who knows, maybe become the future stars of our plates. The recruitment is already on!
