After making all of France laugh and cry with Intouchables and Le Sens de la fête, the director duo of Olivier Nakache and Éric Toledano is back with Just a Illusion, a family comedy that feels like the 1980s. A film that takes us back to a time when we still thought we could change the world… and where hope wasn’t just an upbeat 80s song.

The feature film will officially release on April 15, but Lyon will get a special sneak preview a month earlier at Pathé Vaise and at the UGC Ciné Cité Confluence. And it won’t be a quiet affair!

The cast clearly sets the tone: it’s very, very solid. Louis Garrel plays the father, sporting a sleeveless shirt, sideburns, and oversized vintage glasses. Facing him is the inimitable Camille Cottin who takes on the role of the mother, while Pierre Lottin, recently adorned with a César for Best Supporting Actor, adds a touch of delightful chaos. Great news for cinema lovers in Lyon: both actors will be present at the screenings, accompanied by Olivier Nakache. Yes, in person. Not through a hastily recorded video message.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 21st for an exciting movie night. The preview of Just an illusion will take place at 7 PM at the Pathé Vaise (Lyon 9th), then at 8:15 PM at the UGC Ciné Cité Confluence (Lyon 2nd).
