In the realm of the oldest, most authentic and renowned Lyon corkers, Café des Fédérations has been delighting stomachs for decades. Located in the small rue Major Martin, near Place des Terreaux, this institution born in 1872 and recently celebrating its 150th anniversary, is managed by owners Jean-Luc Plasse and Bruno Boutareaud who have quickly breathed new life into this historic place.

At the Café des Fédés, you will find all the elements of a perfect Lyonnais bouchon: hanging sausages, frames of old photos, vintage illustrations and decor, not to mention traditional dishes of the delicious Lyon cuisine (cake made from chicken liver, andouillette "Fraise de veau", pistachio sausage in red wine, or sweetbread with morels).

And when we talk about Lyonnais tradition, we inevitably think of mâchon! On Saturday, June 10, the Café des Fédérations is organizing its grand mâchon from 8am to 5pm in an unparalleled atmosphere.A menu at 27€ per person composed of various pork dishes, Lyon-style pork scratchings, and Croix-Rousse caviar, pork cheek stew, silk worker's brains, and a praline tart, all complemented by a quarter of Côtes du Rhône wine. Organized in collaboration with the Mâchon Fidésien association, this event promises to delight food enthusiasts with happiness.
