Two Days to (Re)discover a Nearly Forbidden Place
For over 20 years, the citadel has been closed to the public. This 17th-century fortress, designed by Vauban, was exclusively used as a military garrison. But this weekend, it’s all about wide-open doors! For the occasion, the military from the Rapid Reaction Corps-France, stationed there, have created a truly immersive experience, accessible to everyone.
Living History, Swords and Fanfare
On the agenda: full-scale historical reenactments, sword-fighting shows, military skill demonstrations, concerts, treasure hunts, and fun activities for the whole family. You don’t need to be a history buff to enjoy it. Just stepping through the gates of this normally closed venue is already an experience!
Free Entry but Registration Required
⚠️ Since it’s a military site, you need to register in advance. Everything is free, but you absolutely must fill out the form via the link below. And if you want to make the most of it: food trucks and activities will be there all day on Saturday!
