Durbuy: the smallest (and cutest) town in the world

Let's start with a classic. Durbuy is a mini postcard. Known as "the smallest town in the world," it’s perched in the province of Luxembourg and ticks all the boxes for a perfect getaway: old stones, cobbled streets, cozy restaurants, and artsy shops. We stroll, enjoy lunch on the terrace, try the local jams... and think to ourselves that we could happily stay there forever.

The Château de La Hulpe and the Solvay Park: the ultimate romantic stroll

Just half an hour from Brussels, the estate of the Château de La Hulpe is a visual delight. A castle worthy of Downton Abbey, sprawling lawns as far as the eye can see, and a forest that radiates calm & serenity... People come to Solvay Park to walk, lie in the grass, picnic under the trees, and imagine the life of a castle lord for an afternoon. A little bonus: entry is free and the sunsets are often simply stunning.

.

Crupet: the village that hides a secret cave

Crupet is the kind of village where you expect to bump into Snow White. With its stone houses, a windmill, an old dungeon... and especially a mystical cave carved into the hillside. We love going there without a set plan, getting lost in the narrow streets, and stumbling upon a little bistro for a coffee in the shade. Belgian charm at its finest.

.

Dinant: between cliffs, the Meuse River, and giant saxophones

Dinant is the city of rock, river, and saxophone (what?). Clinging to the banks of the Meuse, it impresses with its perched citadel, steep cliffs, and the bridge adorned with colorful saxophones. You can go kayaking, take a river cruise, or simply stroll along the quays with a waffle in hand. It's the perfect mix of nature, culture, and relaxation.

So, when are we leaving ?

These spots in Belgium are less than two hours from Lille. It's a perfect opportunity to get a change of scenery without breaking the bank. Friendly tip from Le Bonbon : make sure to bring comfy sneakers and an empty SD card, because you’re going to want to photograph everything!
