The Forest of Phalempin:

Why? Because it's a forest, plain and simple. So, shade is never lacking. And on top of that, it's huge and even has 3 walking trails to stretch your legs. Of course, there are facilities like tables and benches for you to sit and relax!

The Citadel:

We had to include this in the top list. Even though it's a classic choice, the park has plenty of picnic spots. They're EVERYWHERE. Instead of crowding together at the entrance or in front of the zoo, venture into the green lungs of the city. Where it's really cool and there's absolutely no one around. In addition to being full of pleasant and peaceful spots, the landscape is beautiful!

The cycle path along the Deûle river towards Belgium:

On this 12 km cycle path, several rest areas are scattered to enjoy a well-deserved picnic break. The perfect combination of cycling, strolling, and feasting. This Greenway is part of the V32, the Northern Cycle Route, and is set up along the towpath of the Lower Deûle river.

Les Prés du Hem:

It's a must-mention. Here, it's like hitting the jackpot: a huge park to wander around a lake, top-notch facilities for picnicking, pedal boats, barbecue area, sightseeing boat... In short, it's the perfect spot. Go in the morning and come back in the evening. Of course, don't forget the sunscreen.

The Bois Leurent Park:

Why? Because it's a little further than Lille (in Roncq), so it's pretty cool to be in a peaceful atmosphere. But it's mainly all the activities you can do that bring joy: a football field, a skate ramp, street basketball, plenty of fruit trees, many walking paths... In short, it's a green oasis with a variety of activities!
