It's summer, the weather is beautiful, it's hot... In Lille, we enjoy summer outings but it's true that a little dip in the cool water of the North wouldn't hurt! We have put together a list of the most beautiful beaches and seaside resorts in Nord-pas-de-Calais for you to spend the weekend there! Enjoy!

Wimereux:

Falling in love with Wimereux at the editorial office. This seaside resort boasts an absolutely huge beach: pebble or fine sand, there is something for everyone's taste. Perfect for water activities, Wimereux also has Victorian-style houses and buildings dating back to the 19th century, super colorful and vibrant. The city center is great: nice shops, good little restaurants, ice cream parlors...

Wissant:

Ideally located between Cap Gris-Nez and Cap Blanc-Nez, the beach of Wissant offers one of the most beautiful panoramas in the region. The famous beach is actually temporary and depends on the tide since each low tide gives birth to a new small sandy beach, perfect for children as it is very shallow. It attracts water sports enthusiasts as well as those who just want to stroll around!

Le Touquet:

It is the most "chic" seaside resort in the North! Popular with tourists and Parisians (hence the fact that it is called "Paris-Plage" even though it has nothing to do with Paris, hmm...), it attracts visitors on the weekends. Included in the list of the most beautiful beaches in France, it is full of beautiful things to see: historical monuments, sublime mansions, lighthouses... But also plenty of shops, good restaurants, trendy beach bars and a variety of water activities!

The hidden gem of Escalles:

This is the most secret beach on this list! Located at the foot of Cap Blanc-Nez, it's actually a small cove with an incredible location. From here, you can see the stunning Cap Gris-Nez on the left. And on a clear day, you can even catch a glimpse of the British shores in the distance!

Berck :

Just next to Le Touquet, Berck offers an incredible beach for water activities and also for trying your hand at kite flying. It's not for nothing that the International Kite Festival is held here every year! 12 km of endless fine sand, a true haven of peace... You won't risk sticking your towel to your neighbors!
