The Sebastopol: a must-visit in the Solférino district

The Sebastopol is the semi-gourmet restaurant in the Solférino district. Its storefront, impossible to miss, is so inviting with its facade covered in ivy. When it comes to the cuisine, we are talking about flavors that we are not used to tasting together, seasonal and noble products, original juices or condiments like a Chartreuse jelly for example. Gault & Millau describes the cuisine of The Sebastopol as being author's cuisine. And that's exactly right! To discover our full article, click here!

Seasons: the eatery that delights La Madeleine

Seasons is the eatery that delights La Madeleine. In this restaurant, the spotlight is on 100% local cuisine grown responsibly. With a 4-course service (not including the delicious appetizers and the "pre-dessert"), we start with 2 starters (one veg and the other meat when we were there), then a seafood dish and finally a delicious dessert. The variations, the pairings, the juices... Everything is original and surprising. Don't like butternut squash? Believe us, Seasons will make you love it! As for the wines, you'll only find properly crafted references (biodynamic/natural) and a wide choice of digestifs that once again, go beyond the usual! A definite 5/5 and probably one of the best tables currently in Lille!

Octopus: the 100% octopus restaurant in Lille

If you love octopus, you're going to be thrilled! At Octopus, the star is definitely him! A menu exclusively based on octopus from appetizers to dessert is offered on site. For those who are less fond, a second menu is also available (you can switch between the two) with dishes that will amaze you. According to us, there is a slight Asian twist adding some extra flavor to the dishes. For example, if you choose the current menu, you can have a crab maki with a seaweed condiment for starters or red bean croquettes with pak choi and shiitake mushrooms for a main course. Some delightful surprises on your plate! You can find Octopus next to the Sébastopol theater!

Bloemeke: Florent Ladeyn's Hidden Restaurant

Located on the upper floor of Bierbuik on Rue Royale, this hidden restaurant only seats 30 people and offers a set menu with starter, main course, dessert, and drink for €25 for both lunch and dinner. Completely blind, they will only ask you if you have any allergies or dietary preferences (vegetarian, vegan...). Having been there multiple times, we have enjoyed delicious and sometimes... unique dishes: revisited pot au feu, thyme and cucumber ice cream, veal loin and gnocchi, perfect egg with smoked haddock and red cabbage, and even chicken hearts! A must-try to experience the innovative cuisine of this star chef.
