The 21st edition of the Night of Museums will take place on Saturday, May 17th. The evening is bound to bring some amazing surprises, and to guide you, we’ve selected 5 fabulous events to discover in your favorite museums!

This Saturday, May 17, there will be plenty of reasons to stay up as late as possible. And for good reason, the Nuit européenne des Musées is back for its 21st edition, promising to be full of color. The Lille museums have really pulled out all the stops to serve you a top-notch program. What’s the idea? Enjoy most museums for free for one lovely evening. We’ve sifted through the program carefully and selected 5 activities you absolutely can't miss.


Let’s dance to the sound of the bagpipes at the Palais des Beaux-Arts.

Thanks to the Friends of the Museum, the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Lille will host an incredible bagpipe concert during the Nuit des Musées, organized by the Flemish troupe Sakanotes. It’s a great opportunity…to rediscover this instrument, but also to enjoy a Caucasian dance class with the costumed dancers from Cassel, the Vlam Koejees. It's all about having an absolutely unique and unforgettable evening in the fabulous setting of the cultural institution.

Dive into the art of entertainment at the Musée de l'Hospice Comtesse

The Musée de l'Hospice Comtesse, a former medieval hospital, invites you to an unforgettable evening celebrating the art of entertainment in Lille. Impress your spelling at the Lille Schools Museum

Step into a time machine. On old wooden school benches, the Lille Schools Museum invites you to join a spelling bee like no other, lit only by candlelight. With pen and ink, you'll challenge your evening companions to see who can make the fewest mistakes, all in a fun-filled atmosphere. You can even take part in a marble contest to complete the experience, along with some unique guided tours of the museum.e;e.
