Lille hits the sweet jackpot (again)
Here's some news that will delight all dessert lovers! Just a few months after its opening, the young establishment NEJA, tucked away in place Louise de Bettignies, has just received recognition from the ultra-prestigious La Liste. And hold on, we're not talking about a small local award: NEJA is now among the most sought-after spots worldwide, standing shoulder to shoulder with the highest-rated establishments in London, Lausanne, Casablanca, and Quito.
Founded by Germain Decreton, Iris Rouche, and Rayane Rebouh (who have backgrounds at Le Pré Catelan and Le Jules Verne in Paris), this Lille bakery is betting on a refreshingly contemporary, precise, and generous vision of dessert. The result? An almost immediate success among the gourmet crowd in the region.

« A huge pride and proof that coming back to Lille was the right decision »
Of course, at NEJA, there's excitement in the air. Iris Rouche, co-founder, shares with us: « This recognition after just a few months of activity is great news for us. It confirms that our return to our roots in Lille was the right choice!»
Specifically, this prestigious award changes a lot of things: « Our visibility is skyrocketing. We now have this little positive pressure to always deliver exceptional desserts, worthy of such recognition. It also opens doors for ambitious future collaborationss », adds Iris.

The dessert that everyone is raving about already
If you don't know it yet, start with their signature little cake, the Louise de Bettignies. This chocolate gem perfectly embodies the NEJA spirit: elegant, indulgent, and full of History. “Each creation tells a story, and this one represents everything we love: quality, emotion, and a true sense of aesthetics,” explains Iris.
One thing is for sure: if you haven't tried it yet, now is the time!
