It's official! One of the best pastry shops in the world is in Lille! And sweet tooths will not ignore this information! It's called The Ogre of Carrouselberg, also known as The Ogre by purists. It has been recognized by the famous LIST and joins the tiny family of top pastry shops worldwide.

"LA LISTE, a digital travel guide founded in 2015, selects, ranks and celebrates not only the best restaurants and hotels, but also the best pastry shops in the world. Every year the organization distinguishes 25 pastry chefs from around the globe for the quality of their work. The 2024 Awards ceremony took place on Monday, June 17 in Paris at the Gardens of the Governor of Les Invalides during a garden party where the most influential figures in the sector were invited."
The Ogre has received the prestigious award for the "Best Pastry to Explore 2024"! Congratulations to Stéphanie Touzet and Matthieu Buchalski, the two creators and chefs of the pastry shop located on rue des Vieux-Murs in Old Lille.

It's the P'tits Pouchins: small cream puffs filled with a light vanilla and orange blossom cream. Absolutely delicious. Depending on the seasons and the annual event, the flavors vary and are offered in limited editions!
