So you're wondering which person from Lille has stood out to be in the running and win the precious prize? It's Meng-Sear Taing, originally from Lille and co-founder of Maison du Donut!
During the competition, he will face off against his opponents in 3 different challenges:
- Technical: mastery of the glazed donut, using the Premium Crystal Glaze Dawn glazing: a true American classic that is very simple yet very technical.
- Imposed: create a version of the pastry donut (of choice), a delicious blend of French and American pastry codes.
- Free: participants must imagine a sweet and tasty donut that fits the street food codes, capable of being easily carried and eaten by hand without utensils, to experience an authentic American donut experience.
