We're doing the same thing (or almost) again, but this time in ultra-local mode. After transforming industrial wastelands, La Friche is going agricultural with Cageot, a gourmet hall set to open at the end of May in Faches-Thumesnil. Here, goodbye concrete, welcome to fields, ultra-fresh vegetables, and dishes that grew just two meters away from your fork.

A food court in the open fields (with plenty of chill spots)
No old warehouses this time, but a 5,000 m² plot where a market garden meets a next-generation food court. Cageot is a mix between a food spot and a micro-farm, all set in a space focused on recycling: shipping containers, a huge greenhouse, and a giant terrace. 200 seats inside, 200 outside, a large parking lot, and bike access just 20 minutes from Lille. So, let’s be honest, you’ve got no excuses not to come and give it a try.
Here, the dishes don’t come from far away (at all)
If the place is called Cageot, it’s for a good reason: everything served here literally grows on site. Three hectares of permaculture surround the food hall, and the three restaurants that will set up here will work directly with the farmers. The result? Ultra-fresh plates, short supply chain at its best, and a menu that changes with the seasons.
And to take it even further, there will be baskets of fresh produce...
Vegetables to buy on-site, a chicken coop, orchards, and educational workshops. Everything you need to leave with a full belly and your arms loaded.
.

What are we eating?
The founders love a good mystery and haven't revealed the names of the future restaurants just yet, but one thing's for sure: it's going to be delicious and in the spirit of La Friche. Expect generous portions, quality ingredients, and a friendly vibe with events to keep the fun going. Get ready, it's coming your way very soon!
