On October 30th, 42 French bakers showcased their best pain au chocolat at the prestigious Salon du Chocolat in Paris. And the result is clear... the finalist of the best pain au chocolat in France contest is from Hauts-de-France!

If you're still looking for the best pain au chocolat in the region, there's no need to visit all the bakeries in Lille, Roubaix, or even Arras. Even though our cities are well supplied with bakeries, the crème de la crème is located in the Oise. This is where you'll find the finalist for the best pain au chocolat in France. It's Maison LEGUAY that was rewarded for the quality of its pastries. They competed against about forty others. The pains au chocolat had to be identical, weigh between 55 and 65 grams (baked weight), and be brought in a neutral closed container without external identification. The jury was able to taste and deliberate. The all-butter pains au chocolat from Maison Leguay ended up as finalists. A real treat for all gourmets! So, to find these wonders, head to Warluis in the Oise!
