The Refugee Food Festival deliciously breaks the mold: for one week, some Lille restaurants welcome refugee chefs to create dishes together, hand in hand. It's the perfect opportunity to taste original recipes and meet talents from afar.

Your Gourmet Agenda for the Week
It all kicks off on Tuesday, June 17 with a Franco-Afghan lunch crafted by Imran Ahmadi and Lionel Laffez at the CROUS de Villeneuve-d'Ascq.
On Wednesday, June 18, head over to Lens, to L'Atelier du Cerisier, to enjoy a Franco-Afghan creation by Laila Mohammadi and Élie Beghin. In Lille, the Café Citoyen also offers a vegetarian Franco-Sudanese menu by Salwa Bahar Bong and Mathilde Remaud from Wednesday to Friday.
Thursday evening, head to Café Augustin for a Franco-Iraqi dinner prepared by Rita Jabbo and Marie Fellrath. Get your taste buds ready; they won't forget this meal anytime soon!

A Sunday in the Colors of Ukraine
The festival wraps up beautifully on Sunday, June 22 at Chaud Bouillon. In the morning, we’ll don our aprons for a Ukrainian cooking workshop with Mariia Dauchy-Ivanichenko, followed by a cozy lunch. And in the afternoon, get ready for the screening of the film Sankofas.
