For someone from Lille, nothing compares to the charm of the North, not even a dream job. And for good reason, where else would you find better beer, cozier cafes, and a more genuine accent?

According to a study conducted by Adobe Express, Lille ranks 4th among cities where residents are most attached to their region. Indeed, 33% of Lille workers openly express their desire to stay in Hauts-de-France, no matter the opportunities that arise elsewhere.

We Don't Leave the North

Only 7% of Lille residents consider moving away for their careers. That means the sunny South or the skyscrapers of La Défense can't compete with a sunny terrace (or not) at Place du Concert. The village spirit in a big city, unbreakable family ties, legendary friendliness, and a touch of local pride are all reasons mentioned for staying.
