An official recognition for the kings of the night
This Tuesday, May 13, 2025, the City of Lille has placed a special sticker on the facades of 22 clubs: an official label “Nightclub”. The goal? To better support serious nightlife establishments, highlight their role in cultural life, and assure those who want to dance without worries.

The Lille Night Life is Stepping Up!
To earn the precious label, there are five specific criteria that must be met: a genuine dance floor that can accommodate at least half of the crowd, a private security service on site, a contracted DJ, an agreement with SACEM for copyright, and a declaration for fair remuneration of artists. No freestyle here; we’re playing in the big leagues!
Who are the 22 Labeled Lille Clubs?
Among the lucky chosen ones, you'll find some sure bets and must-visit spots for Lille evenings:
Baron, B-Floor, La Boucherie, Box, Coco, Duke’s Club, Folie’s, Hive, Huit, Joy, Latina Café, Network, Nox, Plage, Relève, Room, Rouge, Stairway, Le Slalom, Le Slay, La Suite, Verde.
In other words: your weekend hangouts, now officially recognized!

A first in France… made in Lille
This is the first time that a French city has created this type of label. It's a local initiative designed to balance celebration and tranquility. The city hall, already behind the Council of the Night and a dedicated charter established in 2022, continues its efforts for a better-regulated, yet vibrant nightlife.
Celebration yes, but not haphazardly
This label highlights places committed to good practices while keeping an eye on any excesses. In 2024, 282 checks were carried out by the city, leading to 34 establishments being closed or put on notice. This new system therefore supports serious clubs while setting clear boundaries. Dance, yes — but in good company.
