A Story of Friendship Through Thick and Thin
The plot? It takes us into a tale from the Bible where David, the future king of Israel, and Jonathan, the son of King Saul, strive to keep their friendship alive against all odds. But with a fratricidal war as the backdrop, the two friends must face choices that will change their destinies forever. Between loyalty and betrayal, their paths intertwine, drift apart… and culminate in tragedy. Get ready, emotions will run high!
A modern cast and staging
There’s no chance of boredom with this work: Jean Bellorini, the director, modernizes this timeless story to create an intense and visually stunning experience. On stage, amazing singers like Petr Nekoranec (David) and Gwendoline Blondeel (Jonathas) bring complex characters to life, elevated by the magnificent music of the Correspondances ensemble, conducted by Sébastien Daucé.
It’s beautiful, it’s powerful, and above all, it grabs you by the gut.
