A cult screening and a legendary meeting in Lens
The CineComedies Festival in Lens-Liévin is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the very first Back to the Future, and we couldn’t ask for a better way to celebrate than to (re)watch the movie on the big screen, surrounded by fans totally hyped up. It’s happening on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at the Colisée Theater in Lens, and let me tell you right away: the atmosphere is set to be amazing (and 100% geek).
And the cherry on top of the time machine? Kevin Pike, the special effects supervisor of the film – aka the guy who literally customized the DeLorean Time Machine – will be there for a special meet and greet after the screening. Just a reminder: this awesome guy has also worked on Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Star Trek, and Jaws. Nothing less!

CineComedies: a festival with flair (and humor)
Since 2018, the CineComedies Festival has been delighting comedy fans in France. After 6 editions in Lille and expanding throughout the region, it's setting up in Lens-Liévin from May 29th to June 1st, 2025. And honestly, with events like this, it's easy to see why it has become a true reference.
📌 The special screening of Back to the Future is free, but tickets will disappear as fast as the DeLorean at 88 miles per hour. Reservations open on April 29th, so mark that date in your calendar and get ready to wear your best sleeveless vest for the occasion.
