The first days of autumn have barely begun when the weather has already decided to change our plans. Just as we were imagining ourselves peacefully rediscovering hot chocolates and cozy evenings wrapped in a blanket, an almost summery break is preparing to arrive in Lille. And it should show up just in time to make the most of the weekend.
Up to 25°C expected in Lille this Friday
It's this Friday, September 25th, that Lille residents should enjoy the most beautiful day of the week. According to the latest forecasts from Météo-France, the sun should shine generously with a maximum temperature of 24°C. Other forecasts even suggest a thermometer that could reach 25°C. Needless to say, your autumn jacket risks staying in the closet for a few more days. But before that, the weather should already be quite pleasant. This Wednesday, September 23rd, sunshine is expected with around 22 to 23°C in the afternoon. On Thursday, a few high-altitude clouds could veil the sky and temperatures should drop slightly to around 20°C.
A
one last taste of summer before October arrivesWith temperatures that could reach around 25°C, this weekend should treat us to particularly mild weather for the season. And best of all, no rain is currently forecast in Lille between Wednesday and Friday. The wind should also stay gentle, especially on Friday, making conditions particularly lovely for enjoying the outdoors. Lunch on a terrace, a drink in the sun after work, or a stroll through Old Lille: we know a few calendars that are bound to fill up pretty quickly. Do watch out for the mornings though. On Friday, temperatures could drop to around 10°C when you wake up. The dramatic contrast between your morning coffee in a jacket and lunch on the terrace in a t-shirt is shaping up to be quite spectacular.
And what about the last weekend of September?
Good news: early weather forecasts are pointing to still-mild temperatures on Saturday the 26th and Sunday the 27th of September, with highs that could reach around 23°C. The sky should, however, be a bit more mixed between clouds andclear spells. At this stage, forecasts remain variable depending on the models, but no major deterioration seems to be emerging for the weekend. Fans of terraces and autumn strolls can therefore start planning their last sunny lunches. And for those who had already officially declared the raclette season open, they may need to wait just a little bit longer.
