Two new restaurants in the Lille metropolis earn a star in the 2026 Michelin Guide

Every year, the announcement of the winners from the Michelin Guide makes chefs and food lovers' hearts race. This 2026 edition brings some surprises from the Lille metropolis. Two new dining spots from the North join the exclusive club of starred restaurants, while an iconic place in Vieux-Lille turns a significant page in its history.

A first star for Harmonie in Villeneuve-d’Ascq

This is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated awards locally. The restaurant Harmonie, recently opened in Villeneuve-d’Ascq by chef Mathieu Boutroy, earns its very first Michelin star. The chef is no stranger to the area. For several years, he led the kitchens of the Cerisier restaurant in Vieux-Lille, where he had already earned a star in 2021. With Harmonie, opened in November 2025, he offers a culinary experience that...modern and very precise around local products and tasting menus, in a contemporary space that blends restaurant, lounge, and workshop area. This recognition confirms the continuity of his work and culinary style.

A new star for Le Camélia too

Another great piece of news for the region: Le Camélia, a restaurant located in Bry in the North, has also received its first Michelin star. At the helm is chef Guillaume Stile, who quickly made a name for himself with his technical and elegant cooking. On the plate, you can find, for example, <...turbot in a bread crust, white butter with sea urchin roe or flambéed aged beef fillet with pepper, dishes that showcase carefully selected ingredients. Recently opened, the establishment has already earned a very symbolic first star for its team.

One star less for a table in Vieux-Lille

But the 2026 rankings also bring a little disappointment for Lille. The restaurant La Table du Clarance, located in the Clarance hotel in Vieux-Lille, loses its Michelin star after the 2025 edition. This change can be explained in part by the change of chef and a complete overhaul of the culinary offering. Since chef Gaëtan Citerne joined in 2025, the establishment has chosen to offer a more flexible and accessible menu, rather than mandatory gourmet menus. This choice is embraced by management, who now want to better meet the expectations of their clientele, especially that of the hotel guests.

A vibrant gastronomic scene buzzing with activity

Despite this loss, the gastronomic scene in the Lille metropolis remains particularly lively. With Michelin-starred restaurants, creative bistronomy, and talented young chefs, Lille is increasingly establishing itself as one of the most interesting culinary destinations right now in northern France. With these new accolades, the North reaffirms its status as a culinary haven. And one thing's for sure: food lovers will still have wonderful dining experiences to discover in the region.
